obligatory 2 month post.

so i am really bad about keeping up with this. and it's not that there hasn't been anything going on in birmingham related to cycling. there has. a lot. for example, i don't know if you guys are into track bikes but there is now a birmingham fixed gear blog that gets updated pretty regularly. these guys put on weekly rides for fixed gear kids around the downtown area. the last couple that i have been to have been a lot of fun. although last week a pot hole on 7th Ave S took out like 5 tires. it was quite a sight to see all of those tires getting changed. it was a good time and everyone involved were really nice and willing to help everyone out.

the next day i earned myself this guy.



it was really funny when i got myself and wildcat out of the street someone who had almost sideswiped me earlier drove by to give me my lock which i had apparently dropped during the crash. that was kind of refreshing. he apologized for almost hitting me and then told me that i should have a bright light. that's true but it was daytime. maybe he should look before he rolls a stop sign.
